I'd pay $15 just for those clam holders  I'm curious as to what the soak is too though.

I bought my clam at MACNA and the vendor gave me a claim holder with it. Its nice, my Crocea has attached to it within a week or so. SO this kit seems nice for the price since you get the two holders and some extra stuff.

The instructions claim the "clam soak" is just an ammonia neutralizer.

Outta curiosity how big of a clam do you think would take to the "clam holder?" I currently have a 8 inch Derasa that is P'in me off always moving around on the sand.

No problem! I wish I could help but my clam knowledge is pretty poor.

    T. derasa belongs on the substrate, and won't attach to anything as they rarely secrete byssal threads. If the clam keeps moving, something is probably irritating it...flow, perhaps (the mantle shouldn't move more than an occasional gentle "lifting")? Also check the byssal area for BW's...they like to congregate there and have caused some of my clams to get "antsy".

i bought this a few months back, and the clam holders are for smaller clams. so the kit was pretty useless for me. i didn't use the mystery powder. i actually don't feel it is worth 15.00
all though recently, i did use the one clam holder to weigh down my airstone in a power outage. ;D
