Ha yeah thanks. 40 is the new 21. Or something.

Thanks. Sticks. Still surprised I had those snails. Had to have already been on it when I came. Read can take 90 days to mature.

Sorry. I just got a clam from a reputable source that had it for a few weeks. Wasn't even going to inspect it. Found 4 pyramid snails on it. Scrubbed it down. Ive read to put them in a container with sand. They are nocturnal. During the day the snails will go in the sand where you can change out the sand. Only problem with wrasses, they burry in the sand at night.

Not all wrasses bury themselves at night. Some sleep in mucus cocoons. The problem is wrasses are diurnal and the snails are nocturnal.;):(

Thanks all. My challenge right now is being able to clean and inspect the Derasa. It's locked down on a rock. The largest rock in my tank. Haha. A good best practice is when first getting a clam put it on a small moveable rock or shell. It was originally on a smaller rock but it moved onto large one.
So I pulled the whole large out and scrubbed it down. Had a sponge starting to grow. But because clam is locked down and shut. Took a toothbrush and cleaned shell and underneath as best I could. Was gentle on bottom. I hope that works. I'm reading that if one has then they both do. Will see but hard to check it when attached.

What's stinks 2.0 is I asked my wife to get me a clam for bday. Had it picked out and everything. Had to cancel that until I get a handle on these snails. Instead she got me an anemone that I'll be posting in the "ID this" section. She didn't get the name and I can't ID it. It's the thought that counts.
