Dr Tim isn't lying when he says those places are his clients... so marketing piece or not, that part is a fact.

Oh yes, I never intended to say it has no value. It had been proven effective for a variety of applications. I was simply stating the way that ATM claims it should be used, and is used is simply wrong. I have to agree with Greg, that so much of it is him simply doing his job, and marketing to the fullest extent. And again, I was only stating this towards ATM products, not all brands, as all things are not created equally:)

That's why I quoted "instant cycle" :) It helps, and can speed up the process, but you ain't dumping a full bio-load in instantly

    You helping out at LBA?

yeah, I take Dr. Tims as a reliable source. Hes the one that told me to do a water change during my cycle that was stuck when almost everyone else on this site said not to do it. Bottom line is Dr. tims works with Public Aquariums, im pretty sure noone on this thread does. 8)

You couldn't be more wrong. I work with Public Aquariums in the same capacity that Dr Tim does... we sell to a majority of them in the US. Like Dr Tim, I also work in the same capacity with the Aquaculture industry.

Don't get me wrong, I hate that show and think the guys are a bunch of doofus's. However, the main point of this thread is a question about how. There's some very good questions in here and some good information but there are some people so hell bent on being right that they make rediculous claims. Science is based on facts, not he said\she said. My point, is that I can not believe that ATM would be as successful as they are without knowing what they are doing and killing fish. Tis just IMO, but it's quite possibly a fact. I'm sorry if you took that as hostility. ;)

I agree that it's not random. They are choosing the fish.
