There is an algae fix marine version.I've used it,it helped a little but it's no magic potion although I didn't have any negative effects.

They eat detritus and would help with that but would do little for the algae.

Along with your stepped up maintenance routine, why don't you read up on peroxide dosing,i've read several threads of people having good results with it,I have never tried it myself so not sure of any downsides or not,but might be worth a look into.

Looking at the rock it looks like your nutrients are too high. Cleanning crews are good but you need to lower your nutrients. The best way like someone said is with water changes. To know your parameters is good but water changes will bring your parameters to the correct values.

I think that you need more flow. Those are air bubbles in the rock not bubble algae. Also maybe you have bubbles comming from the sump. Try to avoid bubbles in your display tank.

    Watch for the food!!

Bubbles may come from the skimmer. Do you have a bubble trap after the skimmer? You may need a sponge in the sump outlet if you don't.

My sump goes Skimmer section, bubble trap, refugium section, bubble trap then the return section.

None of the microbubbles from the skimmer section make it to the return section. But for some reason there are still bigger bubbles coming from the sump though.

it sounds to me like you may be over feeding and probably need a larger clean up crew to eat that algae. Id get more turbos and more hermits, maybe a emerald or 2. also, its a good idea to stop using the tap water since that is probably just adding to your nitrate problems. You may also want to get a protein skimmer to help cut down on your wastes in the tank. As for fish that eat that stuff, id suggest either a lawnmower blenny, or maybe a smaller tang like the yellow tang.

I use RODI (for the last month or so) and I have skimmer.

    Overfeeding is probably correct.

I cant get emerald crabs in Australia. My clean up crew is growing though.

I have also noticed to day that when my tank rises substantially in temperature, so does cyanobacteria! Yesterday we had a scorcher of a day and the tank got to 30 degrees celcius, today the cyano had bloomed to be everywhere.

So I do think when my pump comes for my chiller, I will be running that a fair bit to keep the temperature down!.
