    If cost for the two are similar I would definintley go LED. The Heat issue pretty much disappears and the energy savings are pretty noticeable. I went from 2 4 bulbs t 5 lights to 3 ecotech radion led and am saving $30 a month in electricity for ALOT more light and growth. I spent 3 years on the LED bubble looking to see the advantages/disadvantages and IMO led lights are better, just make sure to put in some Violets, a green and a red.

    Remember that the cost of LEDs is basically all upfront. It may cost a bit more now, but you wont have to replace bulbs every year. They are said to last 50,000 hours which is over 10 years with the LEDs running 12 hours a day.

    Alex said he saves $30 a month on his electric bill and he came from T5s. Find someone who went from metal halide to LED and find out how much their savings is.
