    Hey All
Been a while since I've posted on here but after searching everywhere I have no clue. I was helping a friend out because his coral was declining fast. Fast forward I brought it over to my tank, did a dip in revive and placed it in tank, 12 hours later looked good. 12 hours after that looked almost dead. Upon closer inspection I noticed these weird little white circles on the coral I found about 5-6 of them in total. They were attached pretty securely had to pop them off with a sharp point. I tried searching but cannot find a positive ID on what these are. any help?
    Thanks

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Limpets or barnacles. Barnacles would not concern me, I have had them on my sps without issue. Some limpets are sps eaters so I would be on the watch.

Does dipping get rid of those?

Tincture of Iodine won't kill Vermetid snails. For what I'm reading on that thread that I linked you to in our conversation/chat thingy the Bayer dip will.

Thank you for all the replies. I'm inclined to believe they were a bad type of limpet by how they were attached to the coral, when popping them off it felt they had bitten into the coral and were holding on quite hard. I quickly pulled the coral because I have tons of SPS in my tank and didn't want to risk infecting anything. Thanks again everyone.
