So from what ive read, place clam on bottom in some kind of a container with rubble for it to attach to and slowly move it up to aclimate it to the lights? If its under leds at the lfs will i still need to aclimate it to my leds? Also how high should i put it?

Derasa can be in the sand bed and be fine. Sometime they attach most larger ones do not in my experience. If the clam attaches to the bottom of the tank that is fine as well.

All mine are on the sandbed, which if you have enough light, which I'm pretty sure you do, is safer for the clam anyways;)

    Congrats
