acrylic is way too easy to scratch, and I'm very clumsy. Acrylic wouldn't last too long with me.

    Acrylic

It is the clairity that is the most important factor to me. My 210 is glass and everything looks dull vs. the 90 and 300. Plus over time I've had too many glass tanks fail and flood.

hum, I was considering an acrylic 240, but from reading this post it would appear that glass is the way to go. Im still trying to figure out how to arrange the flow. I really like the way jason has his set up. I may attemp something similar. a couple of returns low down on each side and keep my two Tunze on opposite sides near the surface. grateful for any input

I just purchased an acrylic to replace my glass tank. Glass will eventually fail and even the most clear glass is only 80% as opposed to acyrlic is around 95% I believe.

Ok, I had one acrylic fresh water tank, with children in the house it was not long until it was very scratched. Though the children have grown & left home, we chose to set up a glass tank, looking forward to the grandchildren....

    Glass all the way....

It would depend on the size of the tank. Really large ones I would go acrylic other wise glass.

Acrylic fails at the same rate as glass tanks.

Glass is an easy one for me after the finnex. I tend to be clumsy in my tanks.
