I am not against using the Microbacter7. It adds beneficial bacteria to your tank which may or may not have been in your tank at one time and insures that you have those bacteria in the tank. With using it for 2 weeks though, it should have introduced enough and be able to repopulate that bacteria in your system.

Just my opinion here, The water clouded up a little at first use of nopox and i think when the water cleared up the bacteria in the water column clouding the water up died therefor raising nitrate or atleast keeping it constant. Also I think the Microbacter7 is also adding to the nitrate due to the fact it does have ammonia in it which cycles through to nitrate, not a bad thing though.

I would possibly cut back or eliminate the microbacter for a while and see if that changes anything for you and go from there. Just my .02.

Do the instructions say to reduce the amount after the initial 2 weeks? or are you planning on stopping it at that time?

Yes it does it says to follow this after first 2 weeks

    Stable, Low-nutrient Systems
To maintain a low concentration of available nutrients in all marine and freshwater aquaria, add 5 ml (1 capful) of MicroBacter7 per 50 US gallons (approximately 2 drops per gallon) of aquarium water no more than once each week. Alternatively, add 1 drop per 50 US gallons daily (or 1 drop per 25 US gallons every other day). Turn protein skimmer and UV-sterilization off for a period of 4 hours following addition to aquaria. Dosage may be adjusted according to perceived benefit to aquarium. However, it is recommended that the dosage does not exceed 1 drop per 10 US gallons per day. With time, hobbyists may determine that decreasing the dosage and/or dosing frequency by up to 50% sufficiently maintains a low-nutrient environment. During changes in biological filtration or when increasing the aquarium bio-load, dose 1 drop per 25 US gallons daily for one week and then resume "low-nutrient" dosage.

Its up to you. If your coral fish and inverts don't mind it you can finish off the 2 weeks and then do the reduced and see how things go from there. If you still aren't seeing any reduction in nitrates at that point you may want to try stopping the microbacter and see how it goes from there.

I wouldn't worry about it taking some time to start seeing results. Since I have been posting in here i have been reading other people's experience with the NoPoX product and some did have initial reduction and then they rebounded quite a bit, and most of those were nano tanks which could be why they reacted so quick.

Big swings are not going to help your system out at all. I would rather the nutrients slowly reduce over time rather than them drop suddenly. You have been doing this for 7 years, i am sure you know nothing good happens fast, even reduction of nutrients. Take it slow.

Thanks for all the advice and yes you're right nothing good happens fast. I was just shocked at some peoples quick results and I was getting frustrated because I'm not getting the results I'm looking for and they are probably smaller tanks

Has your skimmate changed at all since you started dosing your nopox?

Sounds good I really think you just need some more time

    What is your fish list?
What and how much do you feed?

2 large angels, 3 tangs, and a bunch of little fish. I feed 3-4 times a day, I know you're probably gonna say I feed too much but I have a skimmer that is rated for a 500g so it takes care of the excess food, if there's any left:)
