Hello I was just attempting to set up this skimmer I just got I've got it all ready to go but I can't figure out how to hook up the maxi-jet to the intake since the output coming from the maxi-jet is a small hole and the intake on the skimmer is a threaded elbow? Do I need to get a piece of tubing or is there something I don't understand? (hats off to gresham for the great deal on this beutiful skimmer) thank you!! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

    I think you got it.
If the hose is hard to get on the elbow, use a lighter and heat it up for a second.

You may need plastic hose clamps to keep it on.

P.M.'s are really nice. They are the only company I know that still make serious air-stone CC skimmers too.

O.K. I got the pump all on good and every thing but when I put the venturi hose in the hole water pumps out of it instead of air getting sucked in? what am I doing wrong?

As for models matt the pump is a maxi-jet 1200 + the skimmer is a P.M. h.o.t.-1 here is a pic of the pump hook up minus the sponge and the clamps (don't think I'll need the clamps it's a tight fit! )also a pic of the skimmer up top the pump is hooked up to the right side that's the venturi line under the elbow

Try flipping the venturi valve around. Just a guess, but it could be on backwards.

Just thought of something, you 'primed' the skimmer by filling it with water right?
