other expensive hobbies - that we can discuss on a family forum

ive done everything from model trains to electric guitars to reef tanks. anyone else out there obsessed with some other expensive hobbies such as reefing? be it other animals or something entirely different

 

i play college golf.. LSU gives us everything for free, but its a pretty expensive hobby

 

yeah golf clubs probably get expensive, my school does have a golf team but i could never really get into the golf mood without boos im guessing. haha lol my mom says its an excuse to drink beer.

 

Modified or stock car dirt track racing. My boyfriend grew up around that and has lots of friends who do it. Not cheap!

 

haha ya, ive been to the local drag race and stock car race tracks, aside from the questionable characters it was a great time and it was sometimes painful watching cars worth 75k get crushed into smithereens

 

I have an Mitsubishi Evo that I enjoy tinkering with and an obsession with all things electronic mostly computers. Some times my hobbies cross over lol.

Edit: oh yeah and I have had nitro rc cars that I am quite rough on and break a lot.

Computers/gaming, if you go for the i7 Extremes and 16 GB of DDR3 and the like, also I used to think paintballing was expensive back in the day, compared to a 100 gallon reef tank though... probably not so much.

 

Photography, $2500 cameras, $800-$6000+ lenses, $500 flashes, plus other stuff on my wish list to buy.

 

yes i iknow i am big into photography and its a good place to get money in colorado everyone wants pictures from here. a nice camera is a must and theya re in excess of 5k haha

 

i did think paintball was expensive, OMG 200 dollars for a gun and now im spending 500 dollars on a freaking light! haha everyone likes airsoft more but thats for *****s cuz you cant even feel it haha lol jk.
