Orange filter is being used by photographers for their ability to wash out intense LED blue colors and enhance their colors with out any post photo works.

I bought one on ebay (58mm) and it fits like a charm but the problem is that it's too dark and it's weird looking. Anyone here that uses these filters that can give an advise or a link to a more popular filter of choice?

    thanks in advance.

    Richard.

I don't use the filters myself. Usually you can use a custom white balance and set it as high as it will go on the probably 10000k. You'll get a bit more of the natural color out of it than using auto white balance which doesn't cover the range. FWIW you should just shoot in camera raw and download a freeware post processing program like gimp shop. You'll be able to go as high as 50000k. Pretty much any color filter is going to make things look funny and dark. They are intended for black and white film photography.
