Ok wow, its been some time sense ive been on here...or well posted a pic. I have a few updates of my tanks. My 15g nano is doing great. Although the pics where taking before the tank when to sleep, so the corals are starting to close. It just over 2 years now, and the corals are starting to mature. The 100g, just went over a year and is having problems.... It was going great but I rushed alot and cut corners, so now im paying. I had a massive ick attack, and killed mostly everything. Yellow tang is a survivor!! lol And the triggers, they are bullet proof. The tank is finally coming back. I used an evil product called "ick attack" and its like 100% algea food for ur tank. It repales ick, but does not kill it in any shape way or form. I found a great product on here from a friend on these forms, and it has seemed to work. No ick in probably 4 months, but im still battleing the algea, and im scared to put to many fish in just incase.. I added the sailfin tang almost 2 weeks ago..and no ick!! soooo im hoping, like if a healthy tang dont get it maybe its gone. The coral mostly made it. The clam is living it up with all the stuff in the water. I lost my acros but thats about it. Im gonna get mybe a foxface fast to help with the algea as a tem thing, and im saving for a sump set up with a bigger skimmer. The triggers will probably be out,, they are tooo messy. I hope my pics look ok, its kinda late so the stuff is getting ready for bed. But in sure u can see the mess in the tank, lol. Any ideas will be great. Tangster ur ideas are always great, and u have helped otty get his tank running like a top. Im gonna try to make a sump like u suggested to me along time ago. Oh i just saw the pics, and the brain in the nano is really falling asleep, and getting ready to close up for the night, in the day its big and full out, lol.

Nice nano!! What are you doing to fix the algae on the 100. That 100 looks like turbo4603s tank. But he started over by turning off all the lights and covering his tank.

    Welcome back by the way.

P.S How have you liked those t5s?

I love the t-5's. Best lights ive had. They had my acros in full color for months, had blues, and reds. Ive changed the colors out some for a more blue look. That 6500k bulb just was to yellow for my taste. I added a 12k in its place and replaces one of the actinic bulbs with another super blue. The tank is alittle more blue than in the pics, i would say close to a 20k...almost, lol. I really wish my camera would pick up on the fish more, gezz they are all blurry. I love those triggers, like puppy dogs but dang they umm poo alot, and are pretty messy. Im sure they are not helping my problem at all. Ive been pulling what i can out, and it seems to have really slowed down. But i want it all gone, sooo ill try more drastic things. The tangs are ummm lets see worthless at eating the algea, lol. The sailfin will eat some, but the yellow is more worried about what im gonna feed him. Ive read the foxface rabbit fish loves this stuf, sooo if i can get one to get it down some it will be worth it. Ive been doing alot of water changes. I think that helped the most. Have to get that rid ick stuff out. Im gonna buy a new sump soon i hope and see what that does. Ive also turned my lights down on time.. the turning them off for a few days didnt help me, the corals just got mad, lol. Ill get some new pics in the day when the corals are open more.

I think maybe its easier to put all your corals and fish in a temporary sump. Then take the rocks out and try and get as much algae off as possible then, run your tank for a month or 2 with the lights off.Sounds drastic but I think it will eliminate the algae (at least thats what turbo4603 is doing) Maybe Tangster or others with more experience can chime in later.

Might just do that. Ive thought about just buying all new sand and rock from fear of ick anyway. And ive only got the two tangs if I sell the triggers so Im sure i can set up a qt tank for them...

I think ick can only thrive in a tank if it has a host (fish) So I think you should be fine when you take out the fish. Now I dont know about those chemicals you added to the tank.
