Hey guys i bot a pair of oc clowns 3 days back, they qere feesing them nls marine pellets and it was eating, i have nls thera A and nls algae max. I also bot frozen mysis. One clown eats a few pellets and then it jus takes it in and spits them out. The other jus takes it in and spits out. Never swallows. It had become thin so gave frozen mysis, and it ate. Im feom india and i was lucky that my neighbour had gone to uk and had got frozen mysis for me. But im scared that what if it gets over and it doesnt eat any thing. A local hobbyist suggested me to feed them hikari marine s, so ordered it. A few other local hobbyist have alao told me that many fishes are not accepting nls pellets. Have u guys experienced same problem? Whats to be done?

Maybe you can try adding a little garlic additive to your pellet food to entice him. It's worked great for me in the past. I put some pellet food in a bowl and add a few drops of garlic and let it soak for a few minutes and feed. Doesn't matter what brand but I use Kent Marine- garlic xterme. Hope he starts eating soon.

Yes you can make it yourself too. It has a lot of benefits for your fish as well as being a good way to get them to eat.

You want to take a garlic clove, set it on a cutting board, and using the flat side of a knife blade, crush the clove and squeeze all the juice from the clove. Remove the remaining garlic bits, and soak some food pellets in the juice for 5-10 minutes, then feed. i dont know about the ratio of juice to food when using fresh garlic, but i dont see why it would be much different from the use of Kent Garlic Xtreme which suggests 2 drops of juice to every tsp of food

I was saying you take the garlic peel and take a knife or anything to crush it and just use the juice. Don't add water or anything to it.

Garlic absolutely has no benefits for a fish that's legitimate. They can't grow garlic in the ocean. Nano, what's your params? If the fish was eating pellets before you bought it then I assume it's your tank or chemistry causing the issue. For now you need to feed the fish what it eats and slowly work in the pellet. Don't waste time with garlic.
