Can anyone recommend a starter book. Will start off as a FOWLR tank at first then gradually adding corals for a full reef. Thanks!

i found "The Constientious marine Aquarist" by Bob Fenner to be a good book when i set up in 2009. I think that was the second edition and am not sure if there is a newer version out there.

Just gonna throw this out there... for free, the advice from many experienced aquarist on here could give you the things your looking for. just as an alternate. Fish only systems are a breeze to care for. nothing too crazy, and keeping corals is just a matter of experience, knowledge, and the willing to understand the biology of what they need and why.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I invested in " The Reef Aquarium" Volume I, II, III. I have used these books since 1996 and read all of them numerous times. As with all books some information is out dated, but the science and presentation are excellent.

For Clownfish Joyce Wilkerson, again somewhat dated but an excellent reference for base line material. May she RIP, what a great hobbyist. :-(

A simple guide to Marine Aquariums by Jeffrey Kurtz. It's very straightforward and easy to understand.

I have this book (vol 1) and a couple others from when I started and it's in great if not perfect condition. If you are considering buying a copy I can just ship you my books if you pay for shipping. I was just going to donate them to the local library anyways, let me know.
