It's not the seaclone it's called the Coralife Needlewheel Skimmer.
is there any tang I could get away with, the blue is my favorite but I am just fond of the species in general.

Personally, stay away from the Coralife Super Skimmer. They may have redesigned it since I got mine two years ago, but I can tell you mine is worthless as a skimmer. I bought an Eshopps PSK-100H to replace it. The Coralife is used on my 10 gal QT/HT for extra water volume and to increase oxygen.

And I agree with Cheryl. Definitely no on the Blue Tank. In general, your tank should be at least 6 times as long as your Tang will get long. In this case, they get to 1', which is why a 6' long x 2' wide (180 gallon) tank is considered the minimum. I am assuming your tank is only 3' wide. I do think A Yellow Eye Kole is a possibility, but one of the only options for that size tank.

Ok, not sure why I was thinking it would be 3'. In that case, I do think it is large enough for a Yellow Eye Kole, or similar sized Bristletooth Tang. Just make sure you QT before introducing into the DT as they are prone to Ich.

YOu can make a really nice, surface skimming overflow yourself, you can also use your imagination some and use various suitable containers for your sump/fuge.
All this for under $50 easily- the DIY that is. If interested, start googling- look over several designs- etc. some/most do really 'skim' the surface interface to send down to the sump.
Mine does, and I got the idea from the net.

Good luck, keep asking before buying/acting, that saves lots of $ too!

Thank you, can you post some pics of some of the diy projects you have done? That would be greatly appreciated! ;D
