the method of removal must not kill the inhabitants of the LR i wont loose all that over this darn worm!

 

ok well my trap failed terribly....all i caught was a tiny bristle worm..
I had flatworm exit reccommended to me but not sure about it. Has anyone used this in the past ? did you like it or dislike it?

 

you should yank em out and and EAT him as a lesson to all the other pericelus eyeing your treasured snails. No,really though i would tear everything down soak the rocks in fresh water and unfortunately live with the die off of my good stuff to get rid of something like that. I cant believe someone on page 1 with the video link put that intentionally into his 29 gallon.:-X

 

Anything chemical that would kill off that flatworm, will also kill many other things in your tank... both seen an unseen. I wouldn't use it. Don't replenish your snail population for awhile. He'll start to get hungry as the food supply goes down. He'll get hungry and he'll get brave and will find him in a spot looking for food where you can catch him. Eventually he'll be on that glass and that's were I would grab him up. Have a net close by your tank for when that occurs.

I think this is going to work! i'll leave the snail population to get consumed and hope he gets hungry and brave. Myabe i'll spot him out and about but if not....... I have some aqua gloves on order and was considering taking my LR out piece by piece and dunking it in Freshwater. my corals shouldn't die from a FW dip would they? i'm hoping i'll get the rock with the worm in it and submerse the rock for like 5-10 seconds and hopefully see this thing come darting out of the rock for dear life....

then its a matter of what to do with the bugger!

 

I'm a fish and critter person.... advising on the limitations of corals (and dips) is not an area I'm well versed in except zoanthids

You can send the flatworm to me It seems I need to replace pictures... I can't find mine.

 

Yet another reason why I will never use live rock again. 100% base rock from now on.

 

But this stuff can come in on the rock attached to your coral... even hidden ON your coral.

 

or gross factor....

make sure it doesnt bite your hand off;D
