I built this rack to hold 3 120w full spectrums over my tank.
i got sick of the hanging look that ive had for a while and i really didnt want to hang 3 of them from the ceiling since they arent the lightest things in the world.

    on to the build
    Supplys are...
    1.5" x 1/8" Aluminum Flat Bar
    3/4" EMT Conduit
    Screws
    Rubber Spacers

Bent Conduit and cut to length

Cut aluminum bar and drilled 1" holes X3

    Parts cut and drilled.

    Test Fit

Painted and mounted over the tank.

Sorry for the dirty tank, its seen some neglect lately since ive been so busy at work, but shes getting cleaned today lol

Motto for the build is measure 18 times cut once, this took alot of measurments to build and if one thing was off it would have not lined up above the tank right.

Very nice. My only nit pick complaint would be if it were me building it I would of clearenced the flat stock around the knobs on the lights a little more than what you did but very creative none the less.

Yeah i really had to work with that area to make it work correctly. currently all knobs turn smooth and they arent hitting the bar. although i pretty much set em and forget em anyways so its not really a issue with me so much.
    and thanks for the compliments!

Very nice job, looks nice and clean. How did you attach them to the stand. Are they just screwed into the back of the stand.

The conduit is attached to a 2x4 with pvc conduit clamps. Then the 2x4 was mounted to the stand.

You did a great job. I might try something like this for my three Panorama Pro's. I'm upgrading to a 40b and will be using a 250w MH w/ the LED's as actinic supplements. My only problem is having a hard time figuring a way to hang the LEDs around the MH.

Gorgeous tank and setup. You ever win TOTM(tank of the month)?
