I don't know much about planted tanks, but to me it looks good. Nice work!

Nice tank, Macro Algae in reef tanks are one of my favorite things, so naturally planted tanks appeal to me, but I've never tried my hands at freshwater. In relation to a reef, how difficult is keeping a planted tank, and how often are plants available?

Depends, low techs can be amazing (Namely the iwagumis) and cheap. Plants are easy to find at places like petco, but buying them from other planted hobbyists or nicer stores is better.
A nice low tech nano could be-
Small mr. aqua fish tank (11 gallon rectangle would be a great choice) $50
6 led solderless DIY light from rapid led (3 WW 3 CW) or small planted aquaria light Around $75 or less
    Fluval Nano Internal Filter $15
Flourite plus root tabs around $20-25
    Hydor theo heater $15-20
So not that much, plus plants and fish are like $3 ;D

    Thanks everyone
Who thinks I should stay with hygrophila pinnatifida for the left side or use hygrophila difformis?
