    Thanks to you all for the comments... at least I know now what it is and for now keep cleaning the tank every day.... hope that this won't last that much longer..
    How about the vodka dosing?

    wait for the pink and purple coralline to cover it if it bothers you. otherwise letting your calcium go down will kill coralline. If your tank can take that at least...You will get it again though when it gets healthy again. Coralline doesn't need much nutrients, but it is possible to starve it out over a long period of time. Theoretically at least...

    Thanks for the response... looks like the purple coraline is already slowly taking over... so I will wait before putting any chemicals in there...

    it's strange i never had green coraline algae until i added a fuge. now it seems to be dominating the pink/purple...atleast on the glass

    I have the same problem... most rocks turned purple but I have to clean the glass twice a day... lets see what happens. I'll keep you updated!
