Thanks, Matt for the great prize! Sorry I didn't post this sooner - it's been a crazy work week and also the first week of college for my boys! We received the RO unit early this week and hooked it up a few days ago. Jwin made our first few batches of water that we're using to top off the 3 tanks. This has been my first week to NOT buy water! Woo hoo! ;D I'll try to post some pictures this weekend. Thanks again for the great contest and such a fantastic prize! :)

hey Jwin, i didn't see it mentioned yet in the thread (if i'm being daft just tell me). what did you use for the bulk of the canopy. i was thinking about either oak or, to save a dime or two, MDF. what did you use and what are your thoughts on either?

thanks Jwin for such an awesome vid... just finished building mine last week and it looks awesome! i did run into some problems with the paint. i was trying to use rustoleum semi-gloss black painter's touch spray paint because i was weary of getting streaks by using a brush. needless to say it was really hard to get the finish even. so i ended up using a high density foam roller and non-spray version of the same paint and it went down much better!

Well, just went to lowes today and bought everything I need to build this thing. I might have to get started on it tonight. One nice thing is I have a glass top for my 46bow from when I used to have turtles in it. So I am going to use that to get the curve correct. This build has been very inspiring to me. Thank you.

Awesome vid except vid 2.is down again =( may go pick some stuff up at home depot and try =)

Would building a full frame be overkill? I guess if I braced a 3/4 ply top I could hang my 2- 7 lb LEDs not problem.
