Great COTM 2in10. Thanks for being a 3reef Contributor! 8)

I love my stylo, here is a pic from today:

    My observations:
This coral is much happier since I moved it down to mid tank in my shallow halide nano. It also seems happier since I have it in more moderate flow. It was getting blasted by old Tunze Turbelle pump - now it is 2 corners out from my Vortech MP10. I also am using Coral Frenzy on it occasionally. Have the same feeling as 2in10 - not sure if it is helping - but it is not hurting and the coral is growing well. Great coral. I recommend it a lot. Be sure to buy a frag and not a wild one if you can for reasons mentioned in 1st post.
Fragging - mine broke a bit in the move to new apartment and the broken piece is growing well - so I'd say it is easy to frag. :)

Cool. I have a new fixture with actinics I need to mount on the wall. Once I do it should be a wild difference. This is 14k halide only. The new light mount will be a lot of DIY into a plaster wall.. I will do it soon...

The actinics should really help color up the corals. I suspect you will be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner. I know I felt that way when I realized I had too much light for many of my corals.

Yeah I know, it's been kinda frustrating, but too much juggling lately. I have the hardware now - just been slammed and it will take a lot of wood, anchors, paint and planning. Look forward to it though.

I understand, your tank is absolutely gorgeous in design but it means massive DIY for good lighting. Can't wait to see the finished product.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Thank you for the update John,

    Have you ever fragged it?

Right now I am on the hunt for the Purple Stylophora, not an easy coral to come by it seems.

Yes I have remove a couple of frags intentionally and another couple accidentally.

Once established this is a very hardy coral IME. It recovers quickly from accidental fraggings and any other damage it receives now.
