in this hobby the more you proove to be patient the better youll be in the long run....that being said nothing catastrophic will happen if you add your rocks now to the DT....its a bit like buying the best ingreadeats to make a wonderful meal and then eating it raw because you didnt have the patience to cook it....you got this far hang in there a little longer.....hahaha but i feel you, I was a jumping bean at my first set up

Hahaha yeah I figured waiting is best and it seems like it won't be much longer since my levels are low but not perfect. A handful more days of an empty tank won't hurt I guess lol.

Honestly, you COULD put everything together now, but the curing process will most likely stall and then take even longer to complete, hence the reason I suggested waiting. :)

Yeah that's what I figured I might as well wait the couple extra days ammonia was down to 0 tonight nitrite was .5 and nitrate was 20pmm so I figure it's almost done. Haven't had a chance to get a Hanna checker for phosphates but one is on the way so I can check that.

So I was looking over my rocks tonight and notice this green starting to cover this rock and a little on the others seen in the picture. It's not hairy algae and encrusted on and I can't get it off the save the life of me. Read it could possibly be coralline starting...thoughts? Ammonia - 0ppm and nitrite is .25ppm. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

So it's been about 3 weeks and I'm going to check the water in my rocks but recently the levels have been steady at 0ppm ammonia to almost .25 (sometimes it looks a little green in the test but other days it's yellow) and nitrite has been a constant .25 (the light purple color instead of blue) but haven't seen any changes or anything dropping. What are your thoughts on doing a partial water change on the rocks?
