Are the descriptions of the fish meant to be the opposite of real life?, angerfish - scared of the dark, snowflake eel - vegetarian, clown trigger - plays with corals......

No, the coins are yours to take. They will be there for anyone who shows up. The idea is for you to encourage your friends to play the game so you can get more free gold from them. And Happy Aquarium gets another user.

I play the game with my kids who just love it. I love the 'mating ritual' with the Barry White tune in the background.

There are actually 3 Fish Tank games that Facebook has released in the past couple of months. But this is the best. Watch how the fish react when you feed them. Their movement is the most realistic.

I'm addicted to it. I wrote a blog entry over at Happy Aquarium Gaming Tips if anyone wants a good primer.

PS I found this site looking for a Happy Aquarium forums! Not quite what I was looking for. But now you've got me wanting to upgrade my daughter's goldfish bowl.

FishVille is by Zynga, one of the better Facebook game makers. I have the best hopes that this game will get better as they make improvements. They just added algae cleaning that the other tanks already had.

But I'm at level 20 with 117,000 coins, but nothing to spend it on. I'm just raising the fish and selling them. I check in once a day.

The fish do look a bit more 'realistic' but I guess I prefer the cutesy looking fish. And FishVille definitely handles the decorations better than the others. I would say their art is generally better than the other games.
