I have never swam with whale sharks but it sounds like it would be great.

Maybe look up some videos online of other peoples expetiences doing this?

I swam with dolphins in the ocean, it was by far one of the best experiences in my life.

Funny you mention this. I received a certificate to SCUBA dive in the whale shark tank at Georgia Aquarium like 2 years ago for Christmas. Still yet to use it as I live in Indiana. But sure sounds like an awesome experience! *goes to check expiration date*

I have done the behind the scenes tour at the GA. Aquarium and its pretty impressive. The whale shark exhibit is amazing from above. My guess is the snorkeling experience would be pretty cool....but it is pricey. I know the SCUBA dive is like $400....not sure on the snorkeling cost. The dive works out to about $10 per minute in the water (kind of crazy and I expect over time it will come down). I have done the dive at EPCOT in the living seas a number of times - its an amazing experience - and its right around $150 (with the NAUI discount). The other nice thing about the EPCOT dive is that well - its at EPCOT - so after the dive you can grab a beer and a bite to eat in one of the countries there. My main complaint overall about the GA aquarium is crowds...its super crowded...all of the time. I live relatively close to it, and we let our annual passes expire because of that.
