Well I have tried to upload photos under my profile but they are not uploading. I am guessing they are to big or high detail.

Anyways here is the stand that I have build without paint. I have put on a liquid waterproofing sealant.

    Here are the pics:
Now I haven't put the doors on but they are going to be bi-folding and fold from right to left with a bend in the middle.

What is looks like from the side, sorry for the blurry picture

From the back, this is going to house the pvp if I drill the tank later. Also the weight of the tank will not be sitting on top.

I am sealing the bottom of the tank. The product I used, I have not idea if it is good but it was the only thing I could find at Lowes.

Any ways here it is. I will try to paint over the weekend and post those pictures. Then its off to inside the house we I can start prepping for the getting the tank wet!
    Hope you enjoy

So I finish painting and install but... like everything in this hobby problems came up.

My stand is level but the floor in my kitchen is not, there is a slope to it. I am guessing it's the foundation slopping water away from the house. So... I have to shim the stand which is a pain in its self because it fits up against drywall.
Also the hinges I wanted to use on my doors are not strong enough to support both doors (bi-folding), So I have to buy new hinges and possible router out a grove for the bolt of the hinges to fit in.

On top of all that I got sick over the weekend and I am not feeling good as I am writing this.

Sorry forgot to post my updates. I had a bit of a problem with the leveling but had a local friend come over and help me out.
Here is everything I have up to this point.

Beautiful stand, love the door design.

You will most likely need to add minerals back into the water for the fishes health.

Thanks! The door idea was my wife's.
As for the minerals I am going to be using a Eheim 2217 and here are some pictures of me cleaning it.

This canister is new to me so I replaced each sponge with a new one.

I cleaned about 50% of the rings
    [IMG]

I am not sure what this is but it was in the area where you would put Biological Media (Substrates)... I am thinking about get some new Substrates, but if I don't I only cleaned about 50% of this as well.
Any ideas on which substrate would be best I am all ears.

The only thing I need to buy is the filter floss and since today is Labor Day nothing is open.

I also bought some lights today from buildmyled.com and they seem like a great fit for what I am going to do. (Plant / Community)

BTW here a fish list that I was thinking about...

    - Cardinal Tetra's
    - Otocinclus Catfish or Trinidad Pleco
    - Celestial Pearl Danis
    - Dwarf Gourami or Neon Blue Dwarf Gourami
    - Red Platy
    - Redtail Shark
    - Tigar Barb
    - Red Cherry Shrimp
    - Maybe, Lemon Cobra Guppy

If you can think of any more that are compaitable or semi compatiable, I am intersted.

For Plants I am still looking at that. Here is what I will be using for the sand and lights
    Sand:
    Super Naturals
    http://www.caribsea.com/itempage_fre...ernaturals.htm

    Lights:
    buildmyled.com
Fish Focus Blue 13000K - Medium Light (I wanted the fish to pop but also support some plant growth, I know I am not encouraging the best growth but I am only going to have about 4-5 plants).
Fish Focus Blue 13000K - Build My LED, LLC
We define medium light as being most suitable for lo-tech planted tanks (with your preferred fertilization schedule) and soil tanks. The “medium” light level provides enough PAR that almost any plant will thrive -- though growth rates (speed) will be limited by the absence of the CO2 injection found in a hi-tech tank. That said, it is also perfectly acceptable to use medium light with CO2 injection -- in which case plant growth rates will be higher

I always really liked angel fish. The marble angels were my favorite. I really like the guppy idea and it would be cool for your kids to see them have babies :)

Yea I like the marble angels as well, but I am just afraid they are going to go after the Tetras or Danios. Has anyone had luck with the angles or do I need to watch for something particular?
