Just left my LFS. If anyone of you read my Clown Trigger post, I was going to trade him in for a Flame Hawkfish today. I went in and they didn't get one in with their order and I have to wait til next week. They gave me this piece of live rock for my inconvenience. SCORE.. I think! They said all the purple will "seed" my tank? Remember I'm a newbie so not too sure what that means.

It should speed up the development of your coralline.Whether that is good or not is debatable but it sure looks pretty.;)
K+ to you for removing the trigger.8)

Coralline spreads pretty fast, within the month it should cover a decent amount of your rockwork.

I have a 12 gallon JBJ cube and just about everything but the glass is purple now, and it sure didn't start that way. Even under the whitest of light my tank just eminates purple.

Yeah it was a sad day. My Clown Trigger is gone. I ended up getting more of the coralline, a Blenny, and an Arc Eye Hawkfish for the trade. The Blenny by far is my favorite fish so far. He kinda takes away from having to give up my trigger. My Hawkfish has been hiding in a rock since I put him in there.

Here's an updated pic of my tank and my new Blenny. The guy at my LFS has a 75gal he will basically give to me if I want it. I'm thinking about doing it, so I have a longer tank compared to my 55gal upright.

Did I see a Picasso trigger? Is it still in there?

Did I also see an urchin? If both there, I think the trigger will eat it at some point- the urchin.

And if so, won't that fish need more than a 75 at some point?

Nice rock btw, and yes, the coralline will spread if the params are good.

In case that was a question, yes, definitely upgrade to the 75 :)

    Congrats on the new fish!
