Well a few weeks back i set up a brackish tank for my fiddler crabs. I put a bunch of crushed coral in it. I just noticed that their is about a 1.25cm little fish their. I put some fresh hatched brine shrimp. I am not sure what I should do I wanna keep him. But I gess that he is a saltwater. I gess that their must of been an egg in the coral or on my fiddler crab. What else can I feed him.

Should I put him in a brackish water or full salt?

it would be best to try to identify it , might be difficult with it being so small but if it brackish some fish need different brackish salinities try to catch em then get a id on it if all possible

Well that's a good sign :) The fish is eating!! I wouldn't expect anything crazy like a real expensive angel fish. lol But then again you never know what it might be. It should be an experience raising it and seeing if it will live to be an adult fish.
Brackish or salt?? Tough question but salt water fish can live in a lot less salinity than corals. Some of the saltwater fish go right up into freshwater rivers. So, I would keep it in a low salinity tank until it gets old enough to identify it. Enjoy.

I had nothing in that tank it had been dry for years. I think it came from my crushed coral. I moved the former fry(now 1.5 inches) into my 29 gal brackish tank and forgot that my brackish puffer is aggressive. He ate him it made me sad. I am tempted to take one of my 10s and raise guppys as some live feeders for my lionfish just for the ever once in a while feeding. I cant wait to see how ur breeding program goes.

Did we ever find out what kind of fish it was?? Did I miss that part. Sorry about the little guy getting eaten. Guppies are easy to do. Have you done them before? I have and if you want any info, I have a ton of it. Lemme know.
