sorry i havent been on here lately!!! Actually things are going good My insurance made me go to another doctor in network who totally blew off everything that the other doctor said.......so I got a 3rd opinion and they agreed that this was from the coral.

Anyway, the goal was to get me into a lens. The 3rd doctor was very skeptical about me improving my vision in the least bit, but I went from 20/400 (worse than legally blind) to 20/50. Said I will never be able to get above that level, however I am TOTALLY happy with that!!! They had to special order the lens and I will pick it up this Friday. She was TOTALLY surprised and told me afterwards that she never thought it would work. I am so happy with that! She said I might still need a transplant, but not for a long time!!!! Have to watch for the eye very closely for things like increased pressures etc. The second doctor was so off he wanted me to do this $3000 procedure that is not FDA approved for a condition that he and only he said i had in both eyes?????? He claimed that I had this particular condition in both eyes and my good eye is at risk of developing what I went through with my left eye.........totally BS.

She did tell me that this lens will probably not be the one that I stick with. Unfortunately they try these blank lenses to see if it fits and corrects the curvature of the eye and then order from there. So she said dont get frustrated when they have to order new lens. Luckily I dont have to pay for the change of lenses until they get a good fit. That is good because that puppy was 500.00 (with fitting fee etc) for the one lens..but again.....VERY HAPPY!!! Worried about putting something in that eye, and it will take a while to get used to.

The wreck, the owner did not have insurance that hit me. So I had to pay the deductible and then the insurance was going to sue the driver. I went beyond that and called the police and notified them that she had a fake insurance card and was actully uninsured. So they issued a supoena for her. Moral of the story kids, dont drive without insurance. In MO if you are at fault for the wreck (she was found to be 100% at fault) then you have your license suspended for 10 years, or for 2 years if you pay off all the charges/damages and legal fees which is over 6g now. This stupid wreck caused my insurance to go up quite a bit......dont understand that one???

    But thanks for asking!!!

Nice Mel. About the insurance, companies do this all the time, someitmes its not legal in your state. Check and see if you have uninsured drive coverage and be in their face about it.

Congrats on things coming together Mel. I hate insurance companies and their tricks and diversions and scams.

yeah, luckily my insurance had the non-insured coverage so I had the car covered with only having to pay my deductible......however when it isnt your fault you feel like you shouldnt have to pay the deductible at all. It is illegal in our state to have no insurance so she is going to face a lot of problems ahead. She will have to go to court and my insurance is suing her!!!

I pick up the lens tomorrow morning and am excited!!!

I never thought in September that I would still be dealing with the eye however, it is finally coming to a end I think. Thanks all!!! Maybe i will be getting my interest back into the hobby

take the car to a few places, and explain that you can't afford the deductible, alot of times a body shop will be able to "work" around that unless your insurance caps the amount at a point that they can't.

    Good luck
