    Yeah, Mine goes up and down but I don't really use that feature except during maintenance. I pretty much only spin back and forth . It gives more force to knock off mulm and I don't have enough room under my tank to give it a good up and down anyway. Hard for me to get my arm in there.
    I will say for the up and down part without that feature I would have to take out the whole reactor to replace stones. When I replace stones I only have to take out the inner container which is a basket of sorts.

    Good point! I will figure something out to add to this to make the spinning possible. At the moment with current design spinning it is not jogging the stones enough.

    What type of material are the arms in your reactor made from? I don't want to try something that is not strong enough to do the job or something which might break.
