Detailed users guide for taking GREAT macro images

so with that said lets see some macros

 

All of my macro shots are of corals that were killed by the bryopsis outbreak so it's too depressing to post them

 

ill let you play with my macro lens again sometime, especially since you are carrying that baby on the outside now
Anyway not sure if it was mentioned and i know i shoulod take my own advice and really read through this thread but just to add anyway.... For dslr users, shooting with a polarizer and UV filter on your lens can make a world of difference with your macro shots and all other aquarium photo's.

 

I don't have anything besides the baby to take macro pictures of anymore seeing as the tank is coral-less at the moment.

I've never used a UV lens when I did have corals though. Does that work for taking pictures of fish too or only of the corals?

 

oh right god forbid you were to get out of the house with the camera hahah! cause you know they really only use cameras for aquarium photography

I'll try and upload all the other info over the next few days. I have a fantastic series of shots that will help you to understand the whole fstop concept. I'll also try and cover white balance and other controls. Then we can break it down into a detail Q&A session where you guys can post an image and other and myself will try and quide you along to correcting the image....

Adobe Lightroom rocks for this stuff, if nothing else you can download the 30 day trial for free and then delete if you don't want it...

 

light room is great but runs very slow on my computer....So i find photoshop cs3 much more pleasant to use.
