garlic is a gentle antiseptic and antifungal, as well as stimulates the cardiovascular system and aids the immune system. I use it to treat myself when I have infections..

Welcome to 3reef. So my questions are the following: You say you're 110% broke, cant afford decorations, but want to add another fish, please eloborate? You dont have another "container" to temp put him in? Anything would work. His tank is way to small and changing out most if not all the water daily will put a lot of stress on this little guy. There's tons of reasons you cant keep one, let alone two fish in a small tank. Thats my two cents. Maybe someone with some more freshwater experience will jump in.

I can get another goldfish for free but nevermind that...

My line of thinking was that fish in the wild have a constant flow of fresh water and if I keep changing the water often enough it'll be the same thing... Nevermind the goddamn biological filter as it won't be needed if the water is always fresh..

I don't see why fresh water would stress a fish.. I haven't done things by the book so far and the fish is a hundred times healthier than when I got him..he seeems thrilled whenever I change out his water..

But clearly there's only one way of doing things on this forum.
