Lol, I'm not sure what going on with my ALK? As you guys know in other posts I'm having a issue with ALK. I'm using awesome salt ,coral sea pro, and I dip all my coral. I believe it's a lightning issue... In December I switched to LEDs and have been trying to ring the sweet spot. I have narrowed it down greatly but still make the occasional adjustment. So ALK in conjunction with light not as stable as it should I believe that's it. Now I do have a ton of those small brittle stars do you guys believe that may be bothering them?

Do you want all my palys and zoas? Haha. You have a AI prime, I believe, that is a fantastic light and shouldn't have any issues with it, that is if you keep changing settings, that's another story. You keep mentioning that you are drowning your tank with blue, maybe you need to change your settings to more white.

Post a screen shot of your settings.

As for alk what test kit do you use?

Test kit is API, I like the simplicity of it... Not to many compounds to over use.... IMG_0120.JPG IMG_0123.JPG
And yes it's me not the fixture, I keep making slight adjustments and need to stop lol

    I'd get salifert for alk.

As for your lights. I think you need more cw. First pic is my moon lights per say, second is during peak hours which I run from 1:00-10:00 one hour ramp up and ramp down. Similar to what I ran with t5s and MH.

I like the bluer look and more coloration. That said thought I like growth as well. What would you recommend turning up to? Maybe 16k? I don't want to go to white

Civic, do you think it possible the tank may not be getting long enough max lighting?

Probably good. I'm still saying you need more white. If you want more blue look then increase that as well. You are only running your lights at like 30% what the are capable of running. Look at what run my blues and white at.

I don't think that you will. Settings are settings difference is you are running one puck on your small tank where as I am running twelve. I think this is some of the reason that you haven't seen good growth from your zoas. It would be like only running actinic bulbs on a t5 system. You need that broad spectrum. You are barely scratching the surface of this light.
