    its a flourescent purple and blue colour

    been in the tank 30 minutes when I took this photo

    1st ever Clam - maybe my last, depending on how it does in my reef

    oo purrty, did u put a piece of tile under the clam so u can move it easier? wish i would have done that with mine.

    thanks the fisherman it seemed to open quickly and start syphoning its shifting its position slightly , just hoping it doesnt opt for the facing the rocl option LOL

    That is a really nice looking clam Steve. the colors and patterns look great, hope it does well. I agree with putting something under it for easy mobility. It will take 2-3 days to attach generally to whatever it is on. You can use a rock or shell or whatever and that way, you can move it easily. Mine is attached to a 3.5kg rock so it's hard to move around.

    7lb of rock - your not wrong, its a re aquascape moving that about
    I have some shelf rock, Ill have to drop it and get a small enough piece to locate under the clam

    very cool score! Make sure you check the foot well for any sign of pyramid snails. Apparently I am very pestimistic right now ;D as I just posted on another thread about MEN and pest are on my mind right now!!!!:idea::idea::idea: I never had a problem with pyramid snails on any of my clams but that is a very big concern of mine!
    The clam looks awesome and will do great in your tank!
