I wish I was closer. Would love some frags.

You should it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

    Thanks Dennis.

It's like there's no water in the tank now that the GFO and carbon are new and the sump is clean. image.jpg

Super excited. All that's missing is light and Todd's frags.

If you ever come this way Rolando I'll make sure I send a frag home with you. I've got a nice neon spongodes colony you'll like

It looks fantastic! Any issues with it blowing around. I would like to do Fiji on my current build instead of CC like i ve had in all my others.

I have two Tunze 6105's running on 24 volts no issues what so ever blowing around. It's definitely worth the change. The clownfish in the picture above was moving some around trying to get the anemone where he wanted it. Other than that no issues. The engineer gobies already started tunnel building again in it last night.

    Rolo,
Looks very nice and makes a big difference in looks. I'm thinking after seeing how you did it I might be doing it very soon.

Did you add live sand or dried up sand?

I used dry sand I figured with the live rock I would be fine. In my experience having a good skimmer is needed. I emptied the cup several times during the process and had a 55 G barrel full of RO water. Withing 12 hours the water was clear in between processes. If you can vacuum the sand to get the crud out first before removing the sand it would probably be cleaner.
