I have a 40 gal tank. I started with 4 peppermints. I now only have 1. It is a peaceful tank so I very much doubt a fish killed them. I have read of peppermints attacking and eating each other, though have never had this issue in my 15 gal. My main question is....... If I add new peppermints is this guy likely to wipe them out also? Or should I get a cleaner shrimp instead?

I'm not sure on that, but I do know that my peppermint really annoyed my coral. I gave it away...

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I have 6 peppermints that I bought from Ibluewater.com about 9 months ago. They do fight at feeding time but I still have the same six and they are rather large now. Not one Aiptasia in my tank, so I am happy. They really need to be feed heavily once a day or else they will go after corals, thus far I have not had a coral issue but I have had them go rouge in the past.
Make sure you're replenishing trace elements with water changes so molts do not go bad.
