box fish died!

Box fish randomly died! So im trying to find the cause of death, the box fish was eating each day and was kept with 2 dwarf lion fish. The night before I found him dead he was swimming around and eating fine. The next day he was on the bottom as hard as a rock any ideas?

Thanks. Yeah I have a feeling one of the lionfish might have tried to go after him at night since he was only about the size of a dime

 

You're lucky they didn't eat it/release it's poison

 

I love boxfish but have heard and read that they are difficult to keep alive in captivity. Not sure why. Sorry for your loss

 

How long did you have the fish?

What size tank do you have?

How large are the lions, and what species?

Were the lions already in residence when you added the boxfish?
