    I've been fighting what I thought was Ick for about a Month now. A mild on again off again pin head whit spots on the skin of my Tang. I've always been successful with "Kick-Ick" in the past so I used the recomended amount and increased my UV sterilizer to 24/7. This white spots seemed to go away but return or become visible under Actinic light. Now all the inhabitants seem to have it in one form or another. My Blenny's dorsal fin seems to be roughting away. I am setting up my Q-tank now but am unsure of what it is or how to treat it.
    Any Help would be great

    Hey jakets,

    The answer is that you need to pull your fish out of your main tank, put them in a Q-tank, and dose that tank with copper. If you treat them for 2 weeks with copper, and put nothing in your main tank for 2 weeks, the parasite should be dead, as you have killed it in all stages of it's lifecycle. Remember -- DON'T DOSE YOUR MAIN TANK WITH COPPER!!! Take your fish out of there and put them in a Q-tank and dose THAT tank with copper.

    I'm sorry that this has happened, but it happens to all of us at one time or another. You can deal with it. If you have any more questions, you know where to find us!!!

    [glow=Teal, 3, 90%]LOL !!! No they are not.

    I have found that putting the net in a stable place, then "herding" the fish into the net works best for me. It seems that when I go digging around with the net, I end up injuring fish or fishes.

    I have a friend who takes his wife's panty hose and makes a net to go across the tank. He then herds whatever fish he wants into that net. I have also heard that you can buy a device similar to the one he makes at some LFS, but I've never seen one.

    Good Luck!!! I know that part is NOT easy!!!

    Thanks Wrass,
    I have left the net in the tank over night to get them comfortable with it. and I hope this will give me the time to move in and get one....or both.

    Thanks again
