I'm in the process of switching over, Just waiting for the Profilux dosing pump, But I received my BRS order yesterday and my CA Reactor is sold as of today.

Can't wait to stop screwing around with CO2

Keep us informed on how it works for you. Hope it will be able to maintain your levels. If you have sold your Ca reactor what happens if this doesn't work??

    Why wouldn't it work?

My current CA Reactor can not maintain the ALK levels required by my tank. So I'm constantly adding Baking soda. So in essence I'm part way to the balling method already.

There is no way it can not work. It is essentially 2 part dosing but automated. This give infinite adjustmentability (that's not a real word) and stability.
I found with my CA reactor there where far too many failure points. Feed pump stops feeding water, CO2 runs out, Media is exhausted, CO2 flow changes, drip rate slows or stops. All these things make CA Reactors anything but set it and forget it.
Now that I have a larger demand for Carbonates then my current set up can provide I thought I'd make the switch

Hey RG, Sounds like your well on your way to what I'm just about to jump into.

WOW 8 dosing pumps. I just went with 3. But I dose Amino Acids daily anyway.

So what are your concentrates. what are you mixing your Ca

im glad i made the switch, the tank is right on track, more stable now than ever before. have the Ca reactor in the attic, for good measure.

standard concentrations using a blender. im thinking of using an external maxijet for a contstant stir on the containers, but no worries so far.

used a Ca reactor for years, constant parameters, no complaints, happy reeeeeefing. dose in, dose out, i.e. constant water change.
