As a stock system, they do great for most LPS and soft corals. There would be a few upgrades required to really do best keeping SPS such as acropora. For example, lighting would need to be upgraded, and depending on how you run the filtration, a protein skimmer would be handy.

Does it have a built in hood? It looks like an Innovative Marine Nuvo to me.

No built in hood. Now you've got me wondering. I'll look when I get home.

I run an coral life 29 bio cube as a "planted" sea horse tank utilizing live rock.. various macro algae as the main filter.. I removed the bio balls and installed a CPR SR 3 in sump skimmer in the middle section... I left the factory sponge filter and rinse it daily in a little salt water.. the only corals in the tank are mushrooms and gorgonians..
Even with fans in the hood the unit tends to run hot ( low 80's).. in summer too warm for sea horses... I run a Aqua euro 1/13 hp chiller as well...the factory cabinet allows room for the chiller and a small DIY auto top off tank...to provide adequate air flow to the chiller I installed a 4" axial fan blowing air from outside the stand/cabinet.. the fan is controlled by an external controller set to cool in the summer months... the opening in the back is large and the fan is probably not needed but I didn't want to take the chance and only wanted to set this thing up once..

for a FOWLR tank you could leave the bio balls in the wet/dry section, but for most corals you'd want a skimmer... I read mixed reviews on the Coralife in sump skimmer ( which was 1/4 the price of the SR 3) the SR3 has not disappointed.. it does a good job of cleaning up after the messy sea horses...
the PC lights ( I also bought the additional LED lights) and LED's are more than sufficient for the mushrooms and several species of gorgonians as well as the macro algae... I'm sure most of the tougher LPS would do fine as well.... the 3 - .75 w LED moon lights are a nice touch, I set them up as a dawn /dusk and short moon light period so I can keep the tank in 8 hours of dark...
