So i am making an acrylic box for my ats so i can eliminate the splashing all over everything. Problem is i don't know what adhesive to use. I have found Loctite clear silicone aquarium safe, but it is not really an adhesive. If someone could let me know if this will work or if another product will work i would greatly appreciate any advice.

You definitely want to use an adhesive that melts the acrylic together such as the Weld-on products that BioReef posted above. Will give far more structural integrity than silicon.

I think #3 is the super thin stuff. Works great for first application. That basically tacks the plastic together. There is thicker weldon , may be #1(?). Use the thick for last coat of glue. I agree that this is the way to go. It melts the plastic together rather than a mechanical bond.

Edit: #16 is the thick stuff. Use that last.

#16 is for rough or somewhat imperfect cuts.
Provided the cuts are professional you won't need #16. When I built my sump I bought some #16 just incase but ended up not using it.
