6 months - Some regular striped mushrooms and ricordeas. Still here to this day and getting way large :) Wanted something easier to start with and something my few fish that are reef safe with caution to try that wasn't gonna break the bank. Working well though!

first coral was ricordea mushrooms. they were on sale for 8 dollars apiece so i got two. now i have four of them but can only find one. since then i have added a frogspawn after 3 months (one day after the shrooms) kenya tree (few weeks after the frogspawn) and a clam 6 months after i first started the tank.

4 days, added green bubble, toadstool, candy canes.

note. bought 140 lbs of established live rock from fellow reefer for 120 reef. Moved all the rock and about 50% of his water into my new tank with 50% new water. The rocks came with various zoos, and mushrooms and about 80 astrea snails. Kept an eye on the tank, measuring ammonia and nitrites, parameters were good, so I put in corals 4 days later.

I got my first coral today actually. Tank is 4 months old. I bought two frags of polyps, just because i really liked them. And i waited this long because i was fighting the typical new tank GHA bloom

I got my first coral from a local reefer. It was a chunk of green palys. He also gave me a cabbage leather and some gsp. I added to my old 20g hex after about 2 weeks of being setup with est live sand and est live rock. My tank never cycled.

I added my first coral about 2 weeks after setting up my tank. I guess i had enough good bacteria from the live rock and sand that i didn't go through a cycle. Had this happened to anyone else? I'm sure of it because I tested the water every day.

Bought a nice frag of Zoas, eagle eyes and toxics. Paid 15 for little less than a baseball size colony. Waited a long time as I wanted to add the fuge and plumbing. Now they've almost doubled in numbers. Great starters

in my first salt tank after I kept a few fish alive for a week or two i threw a cool coral in there and it died asap.
after several attempts I got it.
I think it was a month or two and I went from one 65 w pc to 130 watt pcs over a 20 gal uniquarium
