Had a very quick cycle due to all LR (never out of water) but waited for about 2 months before adding the first coral. A cabbage leather. Still have it.

    Good idea for a Thread!

my 1st coral in my very first salt water tank was a colony of green star polyps
and they where added within 2 weeks of the tank being set up

my 1st corals in my 2nd reef tank where also GSP , but seeing as I had experienced a diatom bloom on my 1st tank after the GSP had been added , which caused them to only partially open (and worry me) on my 1st set up - I waited about 10 weeks until after diatom bloom had been and gone before adding the GSP on my 2nd set up

I think GSP have been the 1st coral I have added on every SW tank I ever set up, irrespective of the tanks size

My first coral was a little baby green striped mushroom that my friend gave me for free. I was so excited ;D

I waited a couple of days.

My 90g established reef was taken down and the 200g was setup. Ll the LR was established, with new sand, and a couple cups of LS from my 90g.

BTA's, acros, millepora, caps, clam, LPS, softies, everything was transferred with no issues.
