My 650L mixed reef tank

    Just to clear up a few things if you're wondering why I call myself Mr tapwater was simply to do with I was using Tapwater successfully prior joining forms and thought it was appropriate at the time to go by that name ,but for the last two years now have been using RO water.

    Here is a breakdown on how my tank runs and how it looks at the present time.

    Dimensions: 66LxW22xH30 ins:
    Capacity: 650L:
    Substrate: 55kg Caribsea seaflor.
    Live rock: 85kg:
    Lighting: 3x Vegas:

    Water distribution: 2x6125. 2x6095 Tuze:
    Filter system: 2x externals FX6. Efx600.
    Which contain between the two Active carbon.
    20 bags of Bionitratex. Siporax rings .Floss and sponges.
    Reactors: 2xD&D Fmr75s One for bio pellets The other Rowa phos.
    Calcium reactor: V2 300 compact:
    Proteins skimmer: Deltec Mce600.
    UV: Eheim Reeflex 800:
    Salt brand: D&D H20+:
    Additives: Iodine:

    Tank stats:
    Sg: 1.025:
    Phos: 0.030:
    PH: 8.0:
    Kh: 10.2:
    Mg: 1350:
    Cal: 420:
    No3: 5:

    Nice tank. How does your water stay stable with that huge bio load? That's a lot of fish.

    No3 remover Plus lots of TLC

    Interesting.
    Why the canister filter? More water volume? Suprised that youre not running a sump.

    Always preferred to use externals and holds roughly 50 L between the two externals and as you see works for me, Plus sumps doesn't always guarantee you success there are plenty of ways to skin a cat so to speak
