| wheres your salinity Where do you keep your salinity, after looking at my hydrometer, I realized I had been keeping mine between 1.021-1.023, and I think I need to bring it up, but that was the range on my hydrometer. Where do you keep yours |

| mine pretty much stays between 1.024 and 1.025
seems to do alright.
I just keep it to what everyone else says is good for fish/reef tanks.

Where do you keep yours | Eagle, I beleave that hydrometer is about about as accurate as as hitting a bulls eye at a 100 yards with a tooth pick.
All to often those things are poorly calibrated and any air bubbles that do get hung on the needle will throw your readig off.
Success is always there if you buy a quality "refraction meter"

I keep my SG @ 1.024 to 1.026 ( I try to keep dead on the money at 1.025 ) |

any good places to get one cheap hahaha.
seriously
I also have a plastic swing are spec gravity tester, every once in a while while testing i have to tap it on counter top to know off the bubbles and get the reading to stabilize |

| In my old 24, I kept it at 1.025 and everything was good. My new 40 that just finished its cycle, I keep it low at 1.023. |

| let the corals decide what salinity they like.it'll be between 1.023-26.check whatever tool you use for checking salinity against your lfs regularly because they do break
