For my 55, I utilize both carbon and phosphate media in one reactor. It's more than enough capacity for both. Maybe a seasoned veteran can chime in and enlighten you as to with what you can fill the second reactor.

I thought about doing that but then I realized the chamberis quite small so I might not fit that much media in there so I want to set up two

If you are trying to use ferric Oxide then you may have the carbon to beat and break up the Ferric oxide into a rust colored dust and be all over you tank. And with some carbons like the soft pelleted types the rolling action of the reactor can and will beat them into a black dust ... Most Carbon's can take a bit more of a beating then any Ferric oxide I'd never mix one with the other myself. But Thats me ..

P.S also with ferric oxide if it ever settles out and not kept fluid then you will be looking at a new reactor as it turns to almost solid steel in the plastic reactor And most reactors always end up broken from trying to beat the encrusted Iron ball out with a poker of some type.

For a 55 gallon tank, the chamber of a TLF phos reactor is more than ample to contain a mixture of both medias.
