I test mine whenever I do a water change, apart from that I don't bother!

I am in Ringwood NJ it is in northern New Jersey actually above me to the north is NY state.

So, I ended up get a refractometer today, turns out that everything was ok, my levels were 1.025. I can see the refractometer being a very useful tool.

I tested ours the other day first time I had been in the basement since early December took a look at the skimmer and pump and Ca and Kalk. reactors and saw the refractometer next to the dry F/W storage barrel I figured what the hell . It was right where it was in Dec. 1.025 .
