Default Salifert Oxygen test kit.

Has anybody used the salifert oxygen test kit, is it reliable and accurate and what should it read, i ask this because i am thinking of buying one my fish look like their gasping, but i cant understand why, i have a powerhead pointing to the surface along with the cannister return, and bubble from the skimmer hitting surfce , aswell i added a airline and airstone for over 6/8 hours, still the same, its starting to bug me know, i 'dont want to loose any live stock, please help?

If you have all that, and you don't have tight-fitting glass lids, then it's probably not an oxygen issue.

no tight fitting lids, what else could it be, i have no idea? no other peculiar acting, or visual signs..... nothing , just rapid opening and closeing of the mouth

Agree, not likely a 02 problem...

Got a ground probe?...Maybe need to check for stray current in tank. That is allot of gear you have hanging in it...

Take some water down to local LFS and have them check params for you...you may have something wrong with other test kits...

Only electrical components within tank water are 2 xpowerheads, 10watt total?

Will try water testing at lfs and get back to you, but mine are in date api, but you never know right?
