So my 29g SW tank has been cycling for almost a month now(born on 2/28/09).

All water test are as follows
    Nitrite 0.50
    Ammonia 4.00
    Nitrate 10
    PH 8.1
    Is this normal?
I thought ammonia would level off first then nitrite then nitrate etc.....
Why are they all very high now?

The more details you give the better. Like how much live rock and sand. Is it cured?

did you collect the ocean water on your own?
did your water come from a couple miles off shore or the beach

next time you take water test it before putting in in the tank to rule out that problem.
fertilizers have alot of ammonia in it if theres runoff it might contribute to your problem
how many fish do you have in the tank?
