you are dosing every night? half a cap? im doing like a capful every 4-5 days... it seems so sketchy to me to do a capful or even half a capful every night..... do you feel safe doing it?
i started a thread on reefcentral about dosing purple up and everyone bashed it hard. i have been using it for about 3 weeks, and the coralline coverage on my rocks is noticeably different, along w/ blue and neon green as well |

If you are dosing that stuff you had better be testing your Iodine because you are adding a lot of it. You don't need to waste your money on that stuff, as long as you keep your parameters in check mother nature will do that all by her self with time. my parameters are as follow:
ca 440
ph 8.2
nitrate 10ppm
kh 12-13
i keep them in check fine w/ just regular water changes w/ instant ocean salt mix, and kent dkh buffer..which i rarely use
i dose w/ purpleup for the h3ll of it, strictly as a supplement and experiment and it doesnt effect my levels from what i can tell, and coralline is all over. not saying purpleup is doing it , but its def not hurting if used right. | |

Hey now...let's not going throwing wild accusations around... 
Maybe more good ole Yankee ingenuity that cheap bastardom......
And to answer the question about the frequency of my dosing, the bottle's directions state to dose "a capful per 50 gallons, no more than once daily"...i've got a 20 gallon tank (plus sump) so I use half a cap and haven't had any problems...hope this helps...

It does say that but i mean if you are dosing that much something has got to get out of control fast.. sooner or later. Not saying yours is... but have you tested it, im just curious.
im doing a cap and a 1/2 every 3-4 days.. but i am going to dose maybe once a week here when i start up w/ bionic and thats only if my levels stay good | |
